Text Box: ETERNAL Vigilance Text Box: ETERNAL Vigilance Eternal VigilanceText Box: 1 December 2005 Fellow American, America dodged a bullet in the year-2000 presidential election, but only for the following eight years. In a very close presidential election, the counter-culture elites who ran the executive branch during the 1990s were ousted. But New Yorkers elected Hillary Rodham Clinton to the Senate in a landslide vote. Rest assured, the Clinton-elite Boomer-generation influence will be with us well into the future. John Kerry and Howard Dean are but current reminders of that angry, misguided liberal-Left, cultural Marxist strain of malignant politics in America today. There is much recent evidence of this forecast. For starters, Al Gore fomented a needless constitutional crisis by contesting the ballots in Florida, the deciding state in the Electoral College vote. We should not be surprised that he and his 'New Totalitarians' would attempt to grasp any fine thread to remain in power -- their sole objective has been and is still absolute power over us in every dimension of our lives. In the wake of the New Age counter-culture revolutionaries' maneuver to 'steal' the Presidency, they have marshaled their media and political forces to 'de-legitimize' our new president — the same people who 'stuck their finger in our eye' throughout the Clinton presidency. From the Gennifer Flowers affair, to the endless White House scandals, to the impeachment, to the use of military force abroad in Bosnia and Kosovo and anemic responses to the emerging Islamic terrorist attacks on Americans abroad to mask domestic problems at home — we have experienced the Clinton 'legacy.' This 'legacy' would have been assured had Al Gore won the battle for the White House. But even if Bill and Hillary's 'legacy' is partially derailed by the Bush presidency, we have not seen the last of these power elites of the Boomer generation — potentially the most dangerous generation in America's history. Their numbers and influence will be with us for the next several decades. We have yet to see the destruction in store for us over this period -- unless they can be neutralized. I know these people. I attended graduate school at the University of Michigan during the late 1960s when they were taking over the university administration offices, burning the NROTC building, closing the campus for anti-war and affirmative action rallies, and intimidating any and all who opposed them. I saw timid faculty and administrators kneel in fear to their totalitarian demands. At the time, I was a Navy carrier combat aviator recently returned from being shot at every other day or so in the skies over North Vietnam. The Navy sent me there to earn a PhD in Nuclear Engineering. But my education far exceeded that goal. While there, I learned how these elite Boomers carried out their counter-culture revolution -- by arrogant intimidation of the weak. I learned how visceral their hatred became for not only the U.S. military, but for the very idea of an America based on the traditions of Western civilization. John Kerry, Howard Dean, and Hillary Rodham Clinton are the embodiment of this hatred for America’s traditions. Over the past three decades, these same elites have risen to power in America — as every generation does in its time. But this generation is very different from previous 'idealistic' generations. They gravitated from believing 'don't trust anyone over thirty' to an agenda of cutting future generations off from America's history and traditions. They are attempting to finalize this agenda now that they have achieved power (at the grass roots) in every institution in the land. Our universities, our K-12 education system, our mass media, our churches, our corporations, our judicial system, our politics, and even our military. Finally, through their revolutionary agenda, they are now attempting to reach into our families — the last bastion of hope for America's survival. I have written two books on this subject: “The New Totalitarians” and “From Trust to Terror: Radical Feminism is Destroying the U.S. Navy.” The success of these books motivated me to introduce a new journal on contemporary American culture — the Eternal Vigilance journal. It is now in its sixth year of publication. This journal addresses every aspect of American life today and places events in an historical context. It reveals the seeds of political correctness — what it really is, a 'cultural Marxism' which married Marx with Freud — where it came from and where it is going. It explains the techniques used for its infusion into our lives. It explains how this virus infected American culture and the nature of the host for this infection — the power elites of the Boomer generation. A generation whose icons are Bill and Hillary Clinton, Al Gore, Strobe Talbott — and now, John Kerry, Charles Schumer, Howard Dean, and about 8 million others of that generation. There is hope for the survival of the Anglo-American way, for tradition, for a continuation of the American Dream. This hope lies, in the long run, in the generation of Americans now in our grade schools and those being born — the next Civic generation. A generation which will have the character, courage, and knowledge to emulate their GI generation forebears. It is our job to hold in check the arrogant grasp for absolute power by those in the Boomer generation until this new Millennial generation can be nurtured, educated, and imbued with the spirit of America's great past. Only then can we have faith that the new Millennial generation, when it comes to power in America, will preserve our unique and exceptional American form of government, a constitutional republic based on individual freedom, the rule of law, individual property rights, and a common American identity. America is now engaged in a decades-long conflict with Islamic terrorists of global reach. The American response to the 9/11 terrorist attack on our homeland, the first such attack since the War of 1812, was swift, direct, and successful. The removal of the Taliban and al Qaeda from Afghanistan and the invasion of Iraq, resulting in ‘regime change’ of a ruthless, demonic dictator who harbored dreams of obtaining a nuclear weapon capability has been realized. America is at a crossroad in its quest for survival. We are being tested. Each and every American citizen is being tested by those who have a clear goal of ‘killing Americans’ — at home and abroad to further their aim of driving us out of the region which produces the life-blood of the economies of the Western world. The Islamic terrorists are testing the courage and will of each and every American citizen to preserve the principles of our Founding.
